Please think about making a donation
to CLIC. We are a not for profit
501(c)3 organization and can certainly
use your help in order to keep our
center open and provide the varied
programming we like to do.
Donations can be sent to:
CLIC, 122 East Seneca St., Manlius, NY
13104
We are collecting ink cartridges and
used cell phones for recycling.
Please donate any of these items to us.
You can leave them by our back door if
we are not open. Thanks
Gift Cards Fundraiser
Our next
gift card order will be placed
June 10th
This
program allows you to order gift cards
from over 500 places and pay face value
for the gift card. CLIC gets a small
percentage of every gift card ordered.
You get to buy the gift cards from one
place without racing around to different
locations. We would be happy to send you
the complete list of cards available (this
area and across the nation). Just email
us and let us know you want the list.
Your check gets made out to CLIC and the
cards will arrive around March 9th or
sooner. Besides the normal holiday gifts,
these cards are a great way to say thank
you to someone or give that college bound
student a send-off present.

Pillowcases for Patients
Every Wednesday from 1-3p.m.
anyone who wants to sews, irons,
or wants to learn
no charge
Every Wednesday at CLIC we sew
pillowcases that are donated to
patients at University Hospital,
the Oxford Inn and the Ronald
McDonald House. Join us and
contribute a little time to this
effort. Over the last 6 years
we've donated over 4000
pillowcases to a variety of
places. Kids are welcome to
join us during vacation -
parents too - it can be a family
fun!
Homework Helpers
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays
3-5p.m.
$4.00
Our Homework
Helpers program is open to any student
from any school district or home
school situation in grades 1 through 8
who would like a boost in completing
their homework. Under the watchful
eye of an educational consultant, High
School and College volunteers come to
CLIC to work one on one with younger
students to help them complete their
assignments and work on study and
organizational skills. You do not
have to attend every session. This is
a drop in program. Students from the
F-M schools can take a bus that drops
them off behind our building. We ask
that students bring the necessary work
with them, as we do not have books and
worksheets from every school. We will
supplement when assignments are
completed with additional reinforcing
materials including computer programs,
worksheets, books for reading, etc.
This year, we
will not be including snack money in
our fee
- If kids want to buy snack, our
vending units are here - but we
encourage you to send healthy snacks
with your kids, or give them money to
buy from our vending machines. We
have water bottles and juice (Capri
Sun) for 50 cents and a variety of
items for 50 cents in our vending
machines. Candy bars, such as
Snickers are 75 cents from the vending
machine. We have found that too much
time is consumed with purchasing
snacks and we don't want that to take
away from the educational purpose of
our center. So, we are deemphasizing
that and promoting getting the
student's work done!!
Bus
Numbers (in the F-M
district) - If riding
the bus, the student must bring a
note to the office to tell them that
they are going to CLIC and get a bus
pass - When the student gets on the
bus, they must tell the bus driver
that they are going to CLIC. Any
questions, call us at 682-4200.

teacher. It is a drop in program
and open to any student from any
district. Students should come
prepared with their assignments,
books, worksheets, calculators, etc.
Students can come in during the

they wish but while they are here,
they are expected to be working on
their homework!!
Monday - French and Spanish
Tuesday - Math
Wednesday - Science
Every Wednesday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Cost: Free
Every Wednesday afternoon at CLIC, we will be sewing away. If you are a sewer, and would like to have a quick lesson on how we put them together, stop by on a Wednesday after 1p.m. and we'll show you. We have lots of pieces cut out so you can choose the pieces you wish and either take them home and sew them there, or sew them here at CLIC.
If you are not a sewer, we'll teach you. You can also get involved by talking to your friends and family and gather up any cotton or cotton-polyester fabric that you can find and donate it to CLIC. If the fabric is such that you would like to put your head on it, it is fine for our project. We use fabric that is 44-45 inches wide. We can use pieces as small as 14 inches long. Donations can be brought to CLIC anytime. If we are here, come on in and drop it off. If we are closed, please leave them by our back door and we will bring them in when we come in. Kids, adults, seniors, anyone is welcome to help out. No reservations necessary - just come down.

CLICs Gift Card Program
Ongoing Deadline: the first day of each month
Gift Card orders - Gift card orders are placed on the first of every month. We can get gift cards to many, many places
all over the U.S. If you want to know if
a place in on the list, call us
(682.4200) or email us. We'll check the
entire list and get back to you. If you
wish, we can email the list to you and
you'll have it for your reference.
These make wonderful anniversary, new home gifts, baby gifts, birthday gifts, babysitter gifts or night out gifts. The possibilities are endless. They can also be used as cash for your purchases . . . so if you need to buy a lot of stuff at Home Depot, for example, why not get gift cards. The cost to you is the same and CLIC will make a small percentage.
We'd be happy to send
you the updated list of gift cards
available. Just email us at
clic144@windstream.net and ask us for
the list.

One on One Computer Instruction
email emphasis
Cost: $25.00 total for as many sessions as you like
Do computer classes scare you? Are you afraid you cant keep up? Then learn at your own pace at CLIC with one on one instruction as often as you want for as long as you wish. Our goal in this program is to familiarize you with a computer and open the door to email. Start communicating with friends and family without talking on the phone. Send a message to someone, ask a question, or share good news!! This program is designed to get you on board with email whether you have a computer or not. Once you understand how it works, and we set up an email address, you can use a computer anywhere to stay in touch at CLIC, at the library or at a friends house.
Call CLIC at 682-4200 to set up your first lesson!!

As an on going fund raiser, you can bring your bottle and cans to F-M Returnables on East Seneca Turnpike in Manlius and donate the money to CLIC. To make it easier, you can just bag your returns and put a big #80 on the bag and leave them. They will count them when they have the chance and donate the money to CLIC.
